Andrea & Bill // Wedding Highlight

Three years ago I wrote a painfully long blog post about why videography is important for a wedding. 2013 was a time where videography was often thought of in the last few months (or weeks) prior to marriage. It was  a time where the possibility of adding video coverage in addition to photography coverage just wasn’t considered a part of many budgets. Of course there are plenty of exceptions, but for the most part the possibilities of videography at weddings hadn’t been thought of yet.

Since then, I’ve noticed a number of couples reaching out to us months (even over a year!) in advance wanted to add videography to their wedding. It’s a testament to the lasting impact videography can have on weddings and how much  couples love having a wedding film to relive one of the best days of their lives. It’s never about being a better medium than photography, it’s all about complimenting it and becoming an equally essential part of capturing the wedding day.

I’m excited to say that 2016 has been the busiest year since we’ve been filming weddings! It’s almost impossible to keep up with blogging and sharing films online, but I have another one ready to go.

Andrea and Bill are two lovely souls that came together on a beautiful day at the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL. Outdoor weddings are always a favorite of ours, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint.

One of the best moments of most weddings for us is after the ceremony (usually stressful for vendors) when we get an opportunity to film the bride and groom alone and let them share their first private moment as husband and wife. Occasionally the groom can be a little tense and uncomfortable in front of the camera, but Bill looked totally relaxed and totally in love with his new wife. It’s fun when the couple feels totally natural in front of the camera, even if they admit they don’t.

A major highlight of the evening was getting to capture the famous Jewish wedding dance called the Horah. It was our first time getting to film the dance. It’s one of those moments where the entire audience gets into the celebration and you see folks from all ages enjoying the night and celebrating Andrea and Bill.

I’m excited to share this film! And look forward for more films to come.
